Medical Office and Administrative Specialist with Billing and CodingThe purpose of this program is to provide students with training for billing positions in medical office environments. Emphasis in this program is in the billing department. Students interested in obtaining work dedicated to the billing practices of insurance will develop a full understanding of the uniform language needed. The billing practices of healthcare offices are always in high demand and needs to be addressed as such. Key courses are to include: Medical Terminology, Medical Insurance/HIPAA Regulations, Computerized Medical Billing (MediSoft), Medicare Billing, Medical Coding to include ICD-9, CPT Evaluation and Management.
